I'm participating in a 30 Hour Famine along with the youth at our church this next weekend (March 20th-21st) to help raise awareness (and funds) of the fact that today alone 25,000 kids under the age of 5 will die from preventable causes such as hunger, poverty, and disease, and 13,000 alone just from causes related to hunger; a very sad statistic.

Next Saturday at 12pm we will start our fast and will continue until Sunday at 6pm . . . while this amount of time does not compare to what children all over the world go through on an empty stomach, it will help give us a glimpse of what daily life is like for these small children who cannot help themselves. All the funds we raise will be donated to World Vision to be used to feed these hungry children around the world.

I know that money is tight for everyone these days, and I completely understand if you cannot afford to donate at this time, but it doesn't hurt to ask right? A donation of $30 is enough to feed one child for a whole month; but no donation is too small. Please consider if you might be able to help out with a donation.
